Anthony Bell is a Grammy-recognized, multi-platinum music producer, songwriter, musician, and engineer whose career spans R&B, soul, hip-hop, pop, CCM, and contemporary music.
Throughout his career, Bell has worked with an extensive range of acclaimed artists, musicians, and producers including Jazmine Sullivan, Jill Scott, Keyshia Cole, Willow Smith, Alessia Cara, Estelle, Jaheim, Ruben Studdard, Vivian Green, Faith Evans, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Common, Jewel, Eric Benét, Dwele, Talib Kweli, Sebastian Kole, Cris Cab, Davion Farris, Kim Walker-Smith, James Poyser, Questlove, and legendary producer Larry Gold, among others.
Bell's career was shaped during Philadelphia's groundbreaking neo-soul movement, where he worked as an in-house engineer at James Poyser's Axis Music Group. During that era, Philadelphia became the center of a new musical movement that included The Roots, Okayplayer, DJ Jazzy Jeff's A Touch of Jazz, and an extraordinary community of musicians, songwriters, producers, and artists. Bell's work quickly expanded beyond engineering into songwriting, production, arranging, and artist development.
He went on to produce multiple songs for Vivian Green's debut album, A Love Story, beginning a longstanding creative relationship with the singer. Bell later executive produced Green's third studio album, Beautiful, producing ten of the album's twelve songs.
Among Bell's most recognized productions is Jill Scott's “Golden,” a record that has become an enduring part of contemporary soul music.
Bell also shares a longstanding creative history with Jazmine Sullivan, working with her from the formative stages of her career as a writer, producer, arranger, musician, and engineer. He was instrumental in helping Sullivan secure her recording relationship with Clive Davis' J Records, and his work with her includes the Grammy-nominated “In Love With Another Man” from her debut album, Fearless, along with contributions to multiple projects throughout her career.
His diverse production and songwriting catalog also includes work with Keyshia Cole, Faith Evans, Jaheim, Estelle, Ruben Studdard, Willow Smith, Alessia Cara, Sebastian Kole, Davion Farris, and CCM artist Kim Walker-Smith.
Bell's work with Cris Cab further demonstrated his ability to move seamlessly between R&B, soul, and contemporary pop, including work surrounding Cab's Pharrell-featured “Good Girls.”
More recently, Bell has continued building his catalog through new releases and collaborations, including production work with Mario, sessions with established and emerging major-label artists, and the development of a new generation of artists and songwriters.
